The headwaters of the Gacka - Majerovo Vrilo
Take a leisurely stroll around the lakes at the source of the Gacka River and then visit centuries-old old water-powered mills. Used for grinding grain, each mill is a living reminder of traditional architecture that preserves the memory of an ancient extinct craft.
The two largest springs of the Gacka are Tonković vrilo and Majerevo vrilo, both of which are very picturesque. Some of the numerous old mills have been restored and traditionally decorated. While you are here, don’t forget to try some freshly caught Gacka trout– an authentic. a delicious homemade delicacy!
Beautiful rustic place. This place brings you to the past. Very charming and peaceful. Cold and clean water that hides an unexpectedly deep spring. I wish we had more time to spend there.
